What you are building

A practical quadcopter build has four systems:

  • Airframe: frame, arms, screws, standoffs, vibration isolation.
  • Powertrain: motors, propellers, ESC, battery lead, capacitor.
  • Flight control: flight controller, receiver, firmware, sensors.
  • Video and feedback: camera, VTX or digital air unit, antenna, buzzer, OSD.

Start by matching frame size, prop size, motor KV, battery cell count, and ESC current rating. Do not buy parts one at a time without checking electrical and mechanical compatibility.
